Absolutely. A large share of our students are adults picking up the bass for the very first time. Every course begins with a relaxed assessment of where you are, then builds from there — no prior experience and no music theory required.

All of our tuition is one-to-one. You get the undivided attention of a professional bassist, with every lesson shaped around your goals, your pace and the music you actually want to play.

Lessons come in 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions, taken once or twice a week on most courses. If you’d like to progress faster, our intensive tuition runs three to five times a week — or more. We’ll recommend the length and frequency that best suit your goals and schedule.

It’s never too late. Our teaching is designed specifically for adult learners, and some of our most rewarding students began in their fifties, sixties and beyond.

Just your bass, a laptop, tablet or phone with a camera, and a set of headphones. A simple stand and a quiet corner help, but there’s no need for a home studio.

Lessons take place over Zoom, which is free and works on every device. We send a link before each session — you simply click to join.

Yes. We make full use of Zoom’s built-in AI features, so your teacher can share a recording of the session with you — along with an AI-generated summary of everything you covered — after every lesson. It’s a brilliant way to revisit tricky ideas and keep track of your progress.

A standard home broadband connection is plenty. If your signal ever wobbles, your teacher will adapt, and lessons continue comfortably even on a modest connection.

Yes. If you can join a video call, you can take a lesson. We’ll happily walk you through the setup before your first session so everything is ready to go.

Progress depends far more on consistent practice than on natural talent. With regular short sessions between lessons, most students notice real, audible improvement within the first few weeks.

Little and often beats long, infrequent sessions. Even fifteen to twenty focused minutes a day will move you forward steadily — and your teacher will give you a clear, realistic plan to follow.

As much or as little as you’d like. We can teach standard notation, tab, or simply playing by ear — whatever best serves the music you want to make.

Every student has a personalised roadmap that’s revisited as you grow. It keeps lessons purposeful while leaving plenty of room for the songs and styles that excite you.

Of course — bringing your own music is encouraged. Working on songs you love is one of the fastest, and most enjoyable, ways to build genuine skills.
